History
The predecessor company to Archway (Pawtuxet Valley Bus Lines) was founded in 1953 by the
Archambault Family.
Stephen Archambault joined the family business in 1975, and worked his way up from the ground floor to become president in 1996.

By that time, the business had become a profitable, multi-million dollar operation and the premier charter motorcoach company in New England, with fifty full- and part-time employees, twenty five motorcoaches, six shuttle buses, six vans, and a Lincoln town car. The company ran group charters, tours, shuttle services, corporate services, meetings and convention services.
In 1997, the company was merged with the national consolidator, CoachUSA. Stephen stayed on as
General Manager of its Boston Mini Coach Division and its Arrow Line Division in Connecticut to improve their operational and financial performance.
In 2003, CoachUSA sold its Northeast US holdings to Peter Pan Bus Lines of Springfield, MA. Stephen stayed for a year to ensure a smooth transition of his former company and left to establish his own transportation consultancy.
In 2005, shortly after Peter Pan, announced it was withdrawing from its charter motorcoach operations in Rhode Island. Stephen purchased a small fleet of new, luxury motorcoaches and began operations, out of his former, family owned facilities.
Today, the best employees of the predecessor companies have returned to Archway to re-establish the standard of excellence in the industry, once again, under the Archambault Family leadership.
